FROGS (Fetal Region-specific Optimised Growth Standard) is a free information and decision-support tool. It estimates fetal growth centiles by comparing a weight and gestational age against population reference data. It is not a medical device and it does not provide a diagnosis.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. Results are statistical estimates: they depend on the accuracy of the measurements entered and on the population reference selected, and estimated fetal weights from ultrasound carry inherent measurement uncertainty.

For health professionals

FROGS supports clinical assessment — it does not replace it. Results should always be interpreted alongside the full clinical picture by a qualified health professional, and should never be the sole basis for a clinical decision.

For parents and families

If you use FROGS to plot your baby's scans, please talk to your midwife or doctor about what your results mean. They see the whole picture — do not change your care, or draw conclusions about your baby's health, based on this tool alone. If you are worried about your baby, contact your healthcare provider.
